Another popular tat symbol is the Celtic styled crosses. They have a long history that is kept alive through Celtic folklore. They are recognized fairly easy because they include a lot of loops throughout the cross. This symbolizes the circle of life and the merging of the spiritual and physical world. Tribal cross designs are frequently being seen because they represent a tattoo tribute to a family member or ancestor.
While a lot of people see a tattooed cross and automatically associate it with religion, it can be tweaked to mean something else entirely. Instead of thinking that it is only fitting with religion, it can contain loops and zig-zag weaving and instantly become a Celtic design.
