Tattoos have gained a lot of popularity over recent years, but what's more fascinating is the fact that erotic tattoos have been requested more than any other type of tattoos available. The reason for this is people are simply intrigued by the thought of having something that contains associations to erotica, or erotic meanings being permanently displayed on their bodies.
The Popularity of Erotic Tattoos
The other interesting factor is that erotic tattoos are becoming very popular with businessmen, models, celebrities, influential politicians, students and the list keeps on growing. When people think of erotic tattoos designs they often think of nude women, sexual preferences, or something that is unusually pleasurable in some way.
The butterfly for example is a very simple yet beautiful type of tattoo. If you have this type of tattoo placed on your arm it's not considered to be erotic. On the other hand, if this tattoo was placed in the lower back area or right below the naval, this would represent something entirely different.
This is the same with many other tattoos such as, tattoos of eyes, kittens, pictures of a ball and chain, a heart with wings, an angel, woman with wings or even a peach. The location can change the way a person perceives the actual art, rather than simply judging it on its own.

There are; however, tattoos that are truly erotic on their own and can be placed anywhere on the body. These tattoos, on their own, will hold a person's attention and curiosity simply because of their erotic nature. These types of tattoos range in types, style, and meaning, and for many these types of tattoos are needled in places that are exposed so they can be seen by everyone.
If you've been thinking about erotic tattoos, which types are erotic, and which types aren't, when using your imagination you may be surprised at what you may find when it comes to selecting a particular tattoo design.
Take a picture of a smiling face for instance, harmless enough on its own placed in a place like an arm, ankle, leg or a forearm, but if you place it in a place such as the butt cheek or further below the naval it becomes erotic in its meaning which will indicate an erotic sense of pleasure, or this is a place that is ok and makes that particular person happy.

But this is far from what true erotic tattoos are and what they display. There are some tattoos that can be considered visually normal in every way and what makes them erotic is the location on the body in which they are placed.
Erotic tattoos can be private, or they can be public used as a way of expression. Either way, they belong to you and if it makes you feel good, that's all that counts.
